Ironsworn Licensing

The Ironsworn family of games was inspired by many other products and creators. I hope these games offer inspiration for you own work!

You are free and encouraged to repurpose and reflavor system mechanics as you like. A mention or credit is always appreciated but is not required. However, if you would like to draw from specific text or the expression of the mechanics in these games, you may do so under a Creative Commons license.

Ironsworn

For Non-Commercial Works:
The complete text of the Ironsworn roleplaying game is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. This includes the rulebook, asset cards, and all handouts. You may create derivative works using that text, but may not use the material for commercial purposes.

For Commercial Works:

If you want to publish and sell your own work using the Ironsworn system, the contents of the Ironsworn System Reference Document (SRD) are available for use under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license. In addition, the text of the Ironsworn asset cards and oracle tables are available under this same license.

Ironsworn: Delve

For Non-Commercial Works:
The complete text of Ironsworn: Delve is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. This includes the Delve rulebook, theme/domain cards, and all handouts. This means you may create derivative works using that text, but may not use the material for commercial purposes.

For Commercial Works:

If you want to publish and sell your own work based on Ironsworn: Delve, the text of the moves, oracles, and theme/domain cards is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license.

Ironsworn: Starforged

For Non-Commercial Works:
The complete text of the Ironsworn: Starforged roleplaying game is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. This includes the Starforged rulebook, asset cards, and all handouts. This means you may create derivative works using that text, but may not use the material for commercial purposes.

For Commercial Works:

If you want to publish and sell your own work based on Ironsworn: Starforged, the complete text of the Starforged Reference Guide is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license. This includes the rules summaries, moves, and oracles. The text of the game handouts and asset cards are also licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license.

Sundered Isles

For Non-Commercial Works:
The complete text of Sundered Isles is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. This includes the Sundered Isles guidebooks, asset cards, and all handouts. This means you may create derivative works using that text, but may not use the material for commercial purposes.

For Commercial Works:

If you want to publish and sell your own work based on Sundered Isles, the moves text, as detailed in the Sundered Isles Playkit and Guidebook, is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license. Other Sundered Isles content is not included in this license.

Your Obligations

These licenses are limited to textual content. You may not use Tomkin Press images, icons, trade dress, or other design elements within your work. You cannot state or imply that your work is an official Tomkin Press or Ironsworn product.

You must distribute non-commercial works under the same license as the original (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license).

Although the CC license does not allow me to introduce additional binding conditions, I would expect and ask that your work not include content that is bigoted, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise discriminatory. Please help support a positive, inclusive ethos.

Wherever you put copyright information in your work, include the following text. Replace the placeholder <game titles> with the name of the game(s) you are referencing.

For non-commercial works:
